GAIL BUCKLIN
FCA EQUINE SPORTS - CENTRAL MAINE
Gail has been a lifelong athlete. She began playing all sports with her older brother in the yard at their family farm. She learned to throw a hard fastball, a spiral, and her favorite, play all things basketball.
Gail was a two-sport athlete in high school and a three-sport athlete in college. However, basketball was her passion, and she was an assistant for the varsity high school team, winning a State Championship, and two Northern Maine Championships. She has also coached basketball at all levels from elementary to high school, directed a Basketball camp for 12 years, coached varsity high school lacrosse, JV softball, and JV soccer. She is presently the JV coach and assistant varsity coach of the field hockey team at Erskine Academy.
Gail has worked as a volunteer with FCA as a coach and board member for 8 years. Getting involved in the equine world has always been a desire of hers. She began riding 3 years ago and has since purchased her own horse and is working on riding and training. This passion is a calling from the Lord to reach the many equestrians of all disciplines in the state of Maine, from rodeo to eventing, dressage to trail riding, and reining to hunters. For all ages and abilities, Gail is looking to engage equestrians with the gospel through local events, clinics, and gatherings. To equip equestrians through huddles where they will be introduced to and grow in their knowledge of the gospel and their relationship with Jesus Christ. This will empower them to take their relationship with Jesus Christ and knowledge of the gospel and share it with other equestrians around them through huddles and relationships.
Gail lives in Vassalboro, with her husband Tom. And is near to her children and grandchildren.
